EMERGENCY ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEM FOR ROLLING STOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency electric brake system for rolling stock in which electric brake can be used even if an inverter is disabled, and mechanical brake can cooperate with electric brake as emergency brake. SOLUTION: The emergency electric brake system for rolling stock comprises: an emergency brake system; an inverter 2 for a synchronous motor; a synchronous motor 5; an inverter 6 for induction motors; an induction motors 8-10; a load device 13 for both service brake/emergency brake connectible in parallel between the synchronous motor 5 and the induction motors 8-10; and emergency brake mode switches 14 and 15 for connecting the synchronous motor 5 in parallel with the induction motors 8-10 on a load side of the inverters 2 and 6, wherein the brake load device for the service brake is connected with the emergency brake load device when the emergency brake mode switches 14 and 15 are thrown in.
