PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal whose convenience can be improved by displaying proximate calling destinations and important opposite parties in a waiting picture and simplifying an operation at the time of calling from the waiting picture regardless of the problem that no consideration is made about the improvement of telephone user-friendliness because a waiting picture has no relation to a calling function in the conventional portable terminal. SOLUTION: A control part 4, according to an instruction from an operating part 6, reads the fixed number of the latest telephone numbers from calling history of a storing part 5 to make them as the opposite parties, generates waiting picture data displaying the telephone numbers or names of the opposite parties and outputs the waiting picture data to a displaying part 7. When the operating part 6 selects the opposite party among the displayed opposite parties and a calling key is pressed down, this portable terminal makes a call to the telephone number corresponding to the opposite party.
