PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading and recording apparatus in which required spaces are efficiently laid out without waste and a power supply unit is also efficiently laid out to contribute to miniaturization, and connection to a control board can be smoothly and easily carried out. SOLUTION: An operation section is located above a standby position of a read section 2, a recording section 3 is placed under the read section 2, the control board 44 is located under the read section 2, and a power supply 45 is located to a rear part of the recording section.
