PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic shielding member where black frame painting of the glass substrate of a PDP filter can be omitted, and to provide the PDP filter using the electromagnetic shield member. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic shield member 10 is obtained by pasting a pattern-etched and glare-proofed copper foil onto a substrate. The electromagnetic shield member 10 has a wide width at least at its end, and has a pattern-etched center. Since the glare-proofed surface of a non-etching work functions as a frame for deciding an effective picture size, a painting process for forming the frame for deciding a picture size is no longer required.
