PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively filter foreign objects inside a disk drive, and to facilitate the handling and assembling of the filter. SOLUTION: The filtering device 170 of a disk drive provided with an actuator 130 for moving a read/write head to a predetermined position on a disk and an FPC bracket 160 installed at the corner of a base member is further provided with a filter holder 172 projecting from one side of the FPC bracket to the read/write head side, and a filter 178 loaded on the filter holder for filtering foreign objects contained in air flowing in the disk drive.
