PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a still image, that is beforehand selected by a user, by shifting to a pause operation every time contents of an optical disk is repeatedly reproduced, to conduct repeat reproducing of the contents from the starting point of the repeat and to immediately release the pause operation by the user when pause time, that is beforehand set by the user, is passed and to let the user to select whether a power supply is set to auto-power off or not when a prescribed repeat time passes. SOLUTION: Contents of the optical disk are reproduced from a specified repeat starting point and it is shifted to the pause operation when a specified repeat completion point is detected and the selected still image is displayed. When a set pause time is passed or the pause operation is released, the contents are reproduced from the specified repeat starting point.
