PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter capable of easily realizing the change of the center wavelength of a prevention band and band width in a state where ripple is excellently restrained and coping with many transmission bands and prevention bands by an optical system having simpler constitution, and to provide optical equipment equipped with the optical filter. SOLUTION: In the optical filter, a thin film 12 is formed by laminating a low refractive index layer 13 whose refractive index is relatively low and a high refractive index layer 15 whose refractive index is relatively high alternatingly from a substrate 11 side, and the optical film thickness of the layer 15 and the optical film thickness of the layer 13 are made different from each other, and the refractive index of the layer 13 is made nearly the same as that of the substrate 11.
