PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to perform the test print measuring work without paying his or her attention to a setting direction of a text print. SOLUTION: In the test print measuring instrument which measures a test print TP produced by exposing and forming a gradation pattern of which the gradation is changed in a set arrangement state, on a photosensitive material, by a colorimetric device 41 or a density measuring instrument, a direction discrimination patter for specifying an arrangement direction of the gradation pattern is exposed and formed on the test print TP, and a measurement control part 44 is provided which specifies the arrangement direction on the basis of detection information of the direction discrimination pattern from the colorimetric device 41 or the density measuring instrument.
