摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that hinders weight reduction of a rod, in the rod in which since required flexural rigidity becomes larger toward the center part 3 of the hollow rod and becomes smaller toward both end parts although the rod requires the flexural rigidity to bear compressive load, it is rational that the center part 3 of the rod is thick and the both end parts are thin, however, since it is difficult to take out a core of a forming die in the rod, the rod having uniform diameter in the whole rod is used practically to cause large both end parts, especially end fittings 4, become large needlessly. SOLUTION: The hollow rod is split into two pieces. The two tapered pieces of the rod are mutually fit at the center part 3 of large diameter, and are joined with adhesive 12, so that rod structure in which both end parts are thinner than the center part 3 is formed.
