PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow blower which enables an auger to preferably bite snow and protects the auger from biting foreign matter such as stones. SOLUTION: The snow blower 10 has auger claws 61 to 63 each having a plurality of notches 91 formed on a peripheral area 87 thereof at predetermined intervals. An intermediate area between the notches 91 is formed into a cutting edge 95 including a leading blade 95a at a front end thereof, a tail blade 95b at a rear end, a plurality of sawteeth 97 arranged from the leading blade 95a to the center of the cutting edge 95, and chipping blades 99 arranged along the peripheral area 87 from the center to the tail blade 95b. Each notch 91 is formed like a V-shaped notch, and a rear side forming the vee has a convex side 105 protruding to the inside of the notch 91, whereby the convex side 105 functions to prevent entering of foreign matter 108 into the inside of the notch 91.
