<p>The present invention relates to isolated joint lining cells, especially meniscal superficial zone cells useful for the repair of damaged cartilage or other tissues within the joint, for example meniscus, tendon and ligament. In particular the present invention relates to methods for isolating meniscal surface zone cells, production of implants for articular cartilage repair, use of the cells for promotion of articular cartilage generation and methods for repairing defects in articular cartilage.</p> |
