<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording/reproducing device provided with a cleaning function for removing dirt generated on the surface of an objective lens by using a photocatalyst while preventing the attenuation of a signal system used for recording/reproducing an optical recording disk and the generation of noise. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording/reproducing device provided with an optical head device having a laser light source and the objective lens 8 and recording/reproducing information to/from an optical recording disk 14, a turntable 5 holding the optical recording disk 14 rotatably, and the photocatalyst layer formed of a photocatalyst thin film on the surface of the objective lens 8, a photocatalyst activating light source 9 for activating the photocatalyst is provided separately from the laser light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
