摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit that directly drives a moving body by using an vibrating body, detects a position of the moving body by using a magnetic sensor, and is reduced in size, particularly in thickness. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit is constituted by laminating a base 3, piezoelectric elements 62, 64 and a reinforcing part 63, is formed into a long plate shape, and has a contact part 66 at the longitudinal end thereof. The vibrating body 6 and the contact part 66 abut on each other by applying AC voltage to the piezoelectric elements 62, 64. The drive unit comprises: a rotor 51 (moving body) that has a magnetizable sliding part 511 and is driven accompanied by the vibration of the vibrating body 6; a support part 68 that is arranged at the vibrating body 6 and fixedly arranges the vibrating body 6 on the base 3; and the magnetic sensor 53 arranged on the base 3. The vibration of the vibrating body 6 and the movement of the rotor 51 (moving body) are allowed in the in-plane direction of the vibrating body 6, and at least the sliding part 511 is magnetized so that the strength of a magnetic field is changed in the sliding direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
