<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modification system where warming-up is effectively performed by the condensing heat of water. <P>SOLUTION: The modification system comprises a selective oxidation reactor (30) with a catalytic layer performing selective oxidation reaction by a catalyst and set with a heat exchanger (32) recovering reaction heat by selective oxidation reaction with a refrigerant flowing through a refrigerant layer. The modification system is provided with: a means (40) for generating combustion gas by the combustion of fuel; means (48, 52) for incorporating moisture into the combustion gas; and means (24, 26, 67) for feeding the moisture-containing combustion gas to the refrigerant layer in the heat exchanger (32) for warming-up the selective oxidation reactor (30) under the warming-up in the modification system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
