METHOD FOR DECOMPOSING POLYURETHANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing polyurethanes by which polyurethanes can efficiently be decomposed and to obtain a decomposing agent used therefor and to provide a method for treating a polyurethane-containing waste and to obtain a treating agent used therefor and to provide a polyurethane-decomposing apparatus.

SOLUTION: The method for decomposing the polyurethanes comprises decomposing polyurethanes in the presence of manganese (III) and an unsaturated fatty acid. The unsaturated fatty acid is preferably linoleic acid.
