<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve waterproofness, installation property and antitheft property of a door latch device. <P>SOLUTION: An actuator 6 has an actuator housing 13 fixed to the opening side of a recessed container 7a of a latch housing 7 in a latch body 5, a driving source 14 to be contained in the actuator housing 13 and an open lever 16 for unlocking a gearing means from a striker by the unlocking operation by the driving source 14.
