摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance mass-productivity by reducing the irradiation positional accuracy of a laser beam and also to suppress sputters and deformation at a welding time. <P>SOLUTION: In this head suspension 1 which is equipped with a base plate 3 which is attached to a carriage and a load beam 5 which includes a rigid body 9 and a spring 11 and which applies a loading load to a slider of a tip by being supported by the base plate 3 and in which a reinforcing plate 25 is provided by being laminated on the base plate 3, and the base plate 3 and the reinforcing plate 25 are welded to each other by irradiating laser beams to parts at which the laminated base plate 3 and the reinforcing plate 25 are welded, this head suspension is characterized in that small-thickness parts 29 which include parts to be welded are formed in the reinforcing plate 25, and the base plate 3 and the reinforcing plate 25 are welded to each other by irradiating the laser beams to the small-thickness parts 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
