PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for preventing dimensions of the electric connector from being increased and an elastic piece disposed at a shell from being crushed and deformed when a mate connector is inserted into the electric connector. SOLUTION: The connector has an insulating main body, a plurality of conductive terminals, and the shell. The main body is provided with a plurality of terminal passages and the terminals are disposed in the passages. The shell covers the main body, has a housing space formed by opposed both side walls, an upper wall, and a bottom wall, and the elastic piece is extended and formed toward the space at least at either of the upper and bottom walls. The piece has a curved part projected toward the space. An end is ground and formed at the tip of the curved part and a lead projection is formed near the piece. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
