PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an efficient application surface in which phosphor layer is sufficiently formed on a wall surface of a partition. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a plasma display panel includes a step of applying phosphor ink between partitions formed on a substrate, and a step of drying the phosphor ink at the predetermined temperature after the applying step wherein the substrate is shaken at the predetermined angle from the horizon. Thus, the phosphor applied on the bottom of space partitioned by contiguous partitions is spread on the wall surface so that the phosphor layer is sufficiently formed on the wall surface of the partitions, thereby providing an efficient application surface.
