PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device having a function in which the writing of a parental level into an optical disk is eliminated and the viewing and listening of the optical disk where the parental level is not written can be limited. SOLUTION: Harmful phrase information and individual information of a user are previously stored in a flash ROM 23. A system controller 22 reproducing information on the optical disk 1 only for the user having stored individual information and having viewing and listening authority when the reproduction processing of the optical disk 1 is started and a harmful phrase included in harmful phrase information exists in a title and a chapter which are read from the optical disk 1 is disposed. Thus, the writing work of the parental level into the optical disk becomes unnecessary. Then, the viewing and listening of the optical disk where the parental level is not written can be limited.
