PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel residual amount display for vehicle of which configuration of a display unit is devised for better visibility. SOLUTION: The form of the profile 20 of a fuel indicator 2 is formed similar to the profile of a discrimination sign for indicating lock release of a fuel supply port, residual amount, or shortage that are specified in JIS D 0032 (discrimination sign for operation, metering, and alarm of automobile), and is illuminated and displayed. The residual amount of fuel is displayed with a bar graph which is formed by appropriately illuminating and displaying residual amount segments 21-28 laminated within the profile 20. Thus, the profile 20 can be larger than the discrimination sign of a conventional fuel residual amount display for vehicle. Consequently, a driver immediately recognizes a fuel residual amount indicator 1 in which the stacked residual amount segments 21-28 display residual amount of fuel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
