摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high molecular weight aliphatic polyester which is less in hetero bonds, excellent in heat resistance and moldability, little in lowering of a molecular weight and coloring when being molded, free from gel, excellent in such dynamic characteristics as strength and elongation and excellent in controllability on biodegradability, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: The high molecular weight aliphatic polyester is composed of repeating units expressed by general formulae (1) and (2), and optional repeating units expressed by formula (3), wherein Mw is≥70,000, a concentration of ether bonds formed by side reaction is≤7.0×10<SP>-6</SP>mol/g and/or a concentration of branching points formed by side reaction is≤10.0×10<SP>-6</SP>mol/g. The production method involves use of a specific catalyst and apparatus. In formula (1): -CO-R<SP>1</SP>-CO-, R<SP>1</SP>is a 2-12C bivalent aliphatic group. In formula (2): -O-R<SP>2</SP>-O-, R<SP>2</SP>is a 2-12C bivalent aliphatic group. In formula (3): -CO-R<SP>3</SP>-O-, R<SP>3</SP>is a 1-10C bivalent aliphatic group. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
