PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a poly ferric sulfate capable of evading the clogging of supply tubing when utilizing the poly ferric sulfate manufactured by dissolving various iron such as scrap iron generated in mechanical processing, rejects in molding such as cold rolling, etc., after storing it in tanks. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, iron is dissolved in a warmed sulfuric acid, and the concentration of the free sulfuric acid after the dissolving is made a little higher than the theoretical concentration to manufacture a poly ferric sulfate, favorably, 12.25-16.85 wt%, and the solution is cooled and left to precipitate silica, then a ferrous salt is mixed to the solution, and the concentration of free sulfuric acid is lowered in the range of the theoretical concentration, then it is oxidized to form a poly ferric sulfate and the precipitated silica is separated from the solution.
