PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piercing needle which makes it usable as a piercing needle for decoration as intact and further enables the mounting of a decoration catch for the pierced earring commercially available with excellent designability immediately after the making of the piercing hole. SOLUTION: A needle part 2 at the tip of the piercing needle 1 is detachably mounted on a shaft part 3 of the piercing needle 1 beforehand. Furthermore, a male thread 3a is formed at the tip of the shaft part 3 of the piecing needle 1. After the human body is pierced by the piercing needle 1, the needle part 2 is taken off the tip of the piercing needle 1 and the decoration catch for the pierced earring is mounted on the male thread 3a of the shaft part 3 of the piercing needle 1.
