PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator using a soft magnetic yoke comprising a soft magnetic sheet having a high saturation flux density and magnetic permeability. SOLUTION: In the VCM (voice coil moving linear actuator), a coil 4 is wound around a bobbin 3 of a moving part which covers a projecting part of a central part of the soft magnetic yoke 1, and a pipe-like permanent magnet 2 is placed along the inner wall of the soft magnetic yoke 1 so that it surrounds the coil 4. The soft magnetic yoke 1 is manufactured by using the soft magnetic metal glass sheet having an alloy composition represented by the formula: (Fe<SB>1-a-b</SB>Ni<SB>a</SB>Co<SB>b</SB>)<SB>100-x-y-z</SB>M<SB>x</SB>T<SB>y</SB>B<SB>z</SB>[wherein 0≤a≤0.30; 0≤b≤0.30; 0≤a+b≤0.30; 1 atom%≤x≤5 atom%; 1 atom%≤y≤8 atom%; 15 atom%≤z≤25 atom%; 22≤(x+y+z)≤32; M is at least one chosen from the group consisting of Zr, Nb, Ta, Hf, Mo, Ti, V, Cr and W; and T is at least one selected from the group consisting of Al, Si, C and P].
