The invention relates to a method for operating at least one wind turbine comprising a rotor and an electric generator for supplying electric power to an energy distribution grid with the aid of a control device, which guarantees the operation of the wind turbine in its working range. The wind turbine is controlled in accordance with the modification of a network operating parameter and for a time period in such a way that a higher power is supplied to the grid than in the working range of the stationary operation. The invention also relates to a method for providing control power or primary control power for an electric energy generation and distribution grid, to which a plurality of power plants, including wind turbines, is connected.
