MUTANT HSV VECTOR USEFUL IN TREATING HUMAN GLIOMA

It is intended to provide a mutant HSV vector (a virus stock) being capable of specifically injuring human glioma cells in vivo and, therefore, useful in treating human glioma while showing a high safety; an amplicon vector with the use of Musashi1 promoter to be used in constructing the above virus stock; a remedy for human glioma comprising the above virus stock as the active ingredient, etc. A virus stock containing viral particles originating in an amplicon vector and viral particles originating in a helper vector, which is capable of expressing gamma34.5 in infected cells, can be obtained by infecting host cells with both of (1) an amplicon vector having Musashi1 promoter, and, in the state of connected to the downstream thereof, gamma34.5 gene of HSV, the polyA sequence, HSVori and the a-inverted repetition sequence of HSV and (2) a helper virus losing the function of expressing gamma34.5 due to the inactivation of the gamma34.5 gene.
