<p>A device (101) for use with a washing line has a support (107) upon which the basket can be placed and an elongate member (105) is pivotally connected at a first end thereof to the support (107). A clamp (104) is pivotally connected to a second end of the elongate member (105) and is clamped to a pole (2) of a washing line so that the first end of the elongate member (105) is higher than the second end. The extent of pivotal movement about the pivot connection (8) between the clamp (104) and the elongate member (105) is restricted by the second end (105b) of the elongate member (105) abutting the clamp (104) so that the elongate member (105) is inclined at a predetermined angle relative to the pole (2). The extent of pivotal movement about the pivot connection (6) between the elongate member (105) and the support (107) is restricted by a stop portion (124) on the first end of the elongate member (105) upon which the support (107) rests in order to be in a horizontal position.</p> |
