<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents a decrease in throughput by reducing a load of reception processing of image data. <P>SOLUTION: In this image forming apparatus, reception data, which are composed of character data and image data, transmitted from a host apparatus, are stored in a reception buffer, and printing data in the reception buffer are read out, expanded and stored in an image buffer, so that printing processing can be done. When the image data are stored in the reception buffer 15, the image data, which are transmitted from a host computer 23, are directly stored in the image buffer without being stored in the reception buffer 15, in the case where the printing data are not stored in the reception buffer 15 after the completion of the expansion processing of all the printing data in the reception buffer 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
