摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active magnetic regenerative heat exchanger device obtained by combining a regenerative heat exchanger and a device which operates by magnetocaloric (magneto-caloric) effect, which reduces the speed of sliding contact of a wheel and a seal to the minimum to reduce the abrasive speed of a sliding seal. <P>SOLUTION: An active magnetic regenerative heat exchanger device having: a wheel rotatably provided around an axis and provided with a rim; a plurality of porous regenerative heat exchanger floor units made of a material which exhibits magnetocaloric effect, the floor units having a high temperature hot side and a low temperature cold side and being provided in the rim of the wheel in order to enables a heat transfer fluid passing therethrough to flow in the axial direction, and the wheel having a radial channel formed therein; and a magnet provided to apply a magnetic field to a part of the regenerative heat exchanger floor units attached to the rim of the wheel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
