<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time recorder capable of performing calibration operation of time of a radio controlled clock in an optimum time period. <P>SOLUTION: The number of printing times for printing on a time card is counted by a drive counter 9 within a predetermined unit time and statistical data on the number of printing times are created. A CPU 6 detects from the created statistical data of the number of printing times a time period in which the number of printing on the time card is zero or is minimum, receives a standard time radio wave in the detected time period, and controls to perform the calibration operation of the time.
