<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for calibration in the case that a humidity conditioning means is provided. <P>SOLUTION: At calibration, a solenoid valve SV1 is switched to introduce an N<SB>2</SB>gas (zero gas) or a span gas to a sample gas line 20, a solenoid valve SV2 is switched to introduce an N<SB>2</SB>gas to a reference gas line 30, and a solenoid valve SV5 is switched so that the gases may bypass a humidistat 10 and be introduced to a sample cell 1. At degradation determination of the humidistat 10, the time period required for an indicated value of an SO<SB>2</SB>meter to drop to a reference value in the vicinity of a zero point from the start of degradation determination operation of a degradation determination means 26 is measured, and it is determined as to whether the time period is less than a prescribed time period or not to judge quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
