PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automotive interior component and a method for manufacturing the same in which resin-made components such as a clip fitting seat and a fitting boss are fixed to a back side of an interior base material, and detachment of the resin-made components is reliably prevented. SOLUTION: A support plate 40 formed of a resin-made molding is integrally laminated on a back side of an interior base material such as a foam-resin-made base material 20 and a wooden fiber-made base material 23 pressed in a required shape, and a resin-made component such as a clip fitting seat 30 and a fitting boss 34 is bonded or adhered to the support plate 40. Detachment of the resin-made components can be prevented, the demolding property of the interior base material is enhanced, and the structure of a forming die 60 is simplified thereby.
