PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool which allows optimum charging according to a state of a charger by separating a secondary battery or other part of a load from a charger section. SOLUTION: The tool comprises a charger section that converts an input voltage to the high-frequency voltage of a prescribed voltage, a battery pack that is supplied with power from the charger and charges an incorporated secondary battery, and a load body which is supplied with power from the charger or the battery pack to drive a load. Electric power is supplied in non-contact manner using a separation transformer among the charger, the battery pack, and the load body, while various information is transmitted in non-contact manner using the separation transformer among the charger, the battery pack, and the load body.
