RECORDER, RECORDING METHOD, PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that data can not be recorded and discarded within a proper range because a data range corresponding to a digital watermark detection window is different from an encoding unit when recording control is performed on the basis of duplication control information embedded by a digital watermark in a recorder for recording a prescribed data range of contents as an encoding unit. SOLUTION: The recorder is provided with: an encoding means 1 for encoding an information signal including additional information about duplication in a prescribed encoding unit for each part; a detecting means 5 using a detection window of a prescribed time to detect information about duplication on the basis of the additional information; and a control means 6 for performing recording control about the information signal in each encoding unit encoded by the encoding means on the basis of the information about duplication detected by the detecting means, wherein detection timing by the detecting means coincides with a break of encoding units.
