PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the directional characteristic of radio communication equipment mounted with a PCMCIA (personal computer memory card international association) card type radio unit with a simple method. SOLUTION: When the PCMCIA card type radio unit 3 having a non-directional antenna or an antenna with weak directivity is mounted in a radio communication equipment main body 5, a reflector 4 for reflecting radio waves emitted by an antenna 2 is provided at a position away from the antenna 2 projecting from the radio communication equipment main body 5 by a prescribed distance, and the antenna is arranged at a position around the focal point of the reflector to thereby obtain a relatively strong directional characteristic in a specific direction by electromagnetic interaction between the antenna and the reflector.
