PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal unit for a gas meter capable of communicating with external equipment without detaching a terminal block cover, and its connection structure. SOLUTION: This communication terminal unit for use in the gas meter 1 is provided with a terminal block 4 comprising communication terminals 5, 6 for connecting the external equipment (a setting apparatus) 20, and the terminal block cover 10 mounted to a case 3 to cover the terminal block. The communication terminal unit is further provided with lead wires 31, 32 with one ends connected to the communication terminals, and a molded terminal 35 connected to the other ends of the lead wires. The molded terminal has metal terminals 37, 38 with one ends connected to the other ends of the lead wires, and a molded part 39 molded in resin to build in the one ends of the metal terminals and to expose the other ends of the metal terminals. The molded part 39 is integrally formed with a molded part body 39a which builds in the metal terminals, and locking piece parts 39c connected to the molded part body through a connection part 39b.
