INSTALLATION FOR DISTILLING AND REFINING METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a work space inside a glove box and miniaturize it at the same time. SOLUTION: An installation is equipped with a crucible 22 for heating a metal to be refined, high-frequency induction heating coils 23 located around the crucible 22, a metal distiller 26 which has a condenser 25 for cooling impurities vaporized in the crucible 22 and a collector 251 for recovering the impurities solidified by the condenser 25 and the glove box 27 for placing the metal distiller 26 in an atmosphere of an inactive gas. On a bottom plate 27a of the glove box 27, a well part 27b which is vertically set up downward to accommodate at least the crucible 22 and the heating coils 23 of the metal distiller 26 is formed and a means 28 for cooling the well part 27b along a circumferential wall part 27c for demarcating the well part 27b is provided.
