PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous microcapsule suspension formulation for controlling pests which is efficaciously excellent in control of the pests and improves the residual ratio of an active ingredient in soil treatment while maintaining fast-acting properties. SOLUTION: The aqueous microcapsule suspension formulation for controlling the pests is the aqueous suspension formulation of the microcapsules including an ingredient controlling the pests and having 5-30μm average particle diameter and 200-1,000 average particle diameter/film thickness. The aqueous microcapsule suspension formulation comprises polyvinyl alcohol having≤40 mPa s viscosity of a 4% aqueous solution at 20°C and≤90 mol% degree of saponification in an amount of 0.5-3 wt.% based on the formulation.
