PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which brings good recording results at all times by making inconspicuous recording defects such as white streaks in the recording results in the case when there are a plurality of nozzle arrays that discharge the same ink, and any of nozzles adjacent to each other in a horizontal scanning direction fails to discharge. SOLUTION: When the non discharge nozzle is brought about in recording by a recording head equipped with the nozzles arranged in two arrays in the horizontal scanning direction, the other nozzles adjacent in the horizontal scanning direction to the non discharge nozzle are made to substitute and strike dots to a pixel where the non discharge nozzle is to originally strike the dot. Moreover, in the case where all the nozzles adjacent in the horizontal scanning direction are non discharge nozzles, striking of dots is not substituted to pixels where these non discharge nozzles are to originally strike the dots, and a striking amount of dots to the other pixels adjacent to the pixels is increased to enhance a recording density of the adjacent pixels.
