<p>A lightweight load supporting panel is made from paper, card, plastic or other thin strip material set vertically and joined to form a cellular structure. At least two different areas (17, 18) of different thickness and strength are bonded into a single panel. The panel can be shaped to fit into position, e.g. in a vehicle with reinforced edges to bond onto fitting edges. The reinforcement can be simply wire bonded into the outer edges of the panel.</p> |
