<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To house a laminated body in a box-like casing, and to surely apply excellent tightening load to the laminated body with a simple and compact constitution. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell stack 10 houses the laminated body 14 wherein a plurality of unit cells 12 are laminated in the box-like casing 24. The box-like casing 24 is provided with first and second end plates 20a, 20b, a plurality of side plates 60a-60d, and connection pins 64a, 64b connecting the first and second plates 20a, 20b and the side plates 60a-60d. The second end-plate 20b is provided with a plate member 82 and a second plate member 84.
