<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily fix a metal clip to a resin barrel or a cap main body without requiring working with high dimensional accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In the clip fixing structure of a writing utensil, in which the basic part at the rear end of the clip is engaged with a mounting part protrusively provided on the outer surface of the barrel, the clip is made of a metal box, the top face of which has a window part with a notched part rearwards at the rear end and the basic part with engaging tongued and grooved parts formed on both the side peripheral faces. On the other hand, the side of the barrel has an outwards-projecting mounting part, both the sides of which have engaging grooves, so as to insert the mounting part of the barrel into the window part of the clip and simultaneously slide the clip forwards in order to engage the engaging tongued and grooved parts formed on both the side peripheral faces of the notched part with the engaging grooves formed on both the sides of the mounting part of the barrel for making the fixation of the clip to the barrel possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
