<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high print quality by controlling the operation of an image forming device on the basis of control information received from a higher order device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has; a reception part for receiving data transmitted from the higher order device; a discrimination part for discriminating that data received by the reception part is control information for controlling formation of a toner image correspondingly to the classification of a print medium; and a control part which controls formation of the toner image on the basis of control information in the case that it is discriminated by the discrimination part that data is control information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
