<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source having a simple structure and a high lighting efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light source comprises: a light guide body having at least one plane of incidence and a luminescent surface; a light source for supplying a light to the plane of incidence; and a light reflection sheet for reflecting a light radiated from a surface facing the luminance surface of the light guiding body, where base units, each of which has sloped light reflection surfaces and which have nearly the same or similar section as or to each other, are arranged and formed at a pitch of ≤200 μm on the surface of the light reflection sheet, the light reflection surface has a metal layer, a first coating layer laminated on the metal layer, and a second coating layer laminated on the first coating layer, and a refractive index of the second coating layer is larger than a refractive index of the first coating layer by ≥0.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
