<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a germination apparatus for sprouted brown rice to germinate a brown rice rich in nutrients and extremely preferable for health and generate a sprout of about 0.5-1 mm long in an extremely short time and provide a method for the germination of the rice. <P>SOLUTION: A heater is attached to the inner side face of an encircling plate of a top-opened water tank holding a prescribed amount of water and is connected to a water-temperature controlling thermostat placed outside of the water tank. A temperature sensor connected to the thermostat is dipped in water, and a bubble-generating member having a number of small pores is placed on the bottom of the water tank and connected to a blower placed outside the water tank. A brown rice holding vessel having a number of holes to prevent the leakage of the brown rice is placed a little above the bubble generating member and an air-cleaning member is placed in a pipe connecting the blower and the bubble-generating member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
