<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of delicate laundry and to wash it in a short period of time by washing the laundry by a weak water flow process of rotating a pulsator at a low speed and a strong water flow process of rotating the pulsator at a high speed in a washing machine prevented from damaging the clothes and efficiently removing dirt by the combination of the water flow processes. <P>SOLUTION: This washing machine is provided with a motor 16, a washing/spin-drying tub 13, the pulsator 14 disposed in the bottom part of the washing/spin-drying tub 13 and rotated by the drive of the motor, and a control means 24 sequentially controlling the washing and a rising processes.
