LASER BRANCHING DEVICE AND LASER PROCESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser branching device which distributes a laser beam emitted from a laser light source to a plurality of branch optical fibers at a uniform energy distribution ratio, and provide a laser processing apparatus constituted by using the same.

SOLUTION: The laser branching device 10 comprises the laser light source 11, an energy distribution uniformizing rod 14 which has a polygonal shape in section to be made incident with the laser beam L and to emit the laser beam uniformized in the energy distribution within the plane from the exit surface and a fiber bundle 15 which is formed by bundling one end side of a plurality of optical fibers and connecting the bundled terminal thereof to the exit surface of the energy distribution uniformizing rod. The laser processing apparatus comprises the laser branching device and is arranged with the exit ends 18 of the respective branch optical fibers of the fiber bundle directed toward prescribed machining positions.
