PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability alkaline dry battery having an excellent discharge characteristic by fixing an end on the bottom side of a cylinder-part separator, and by using a bottom-part separator without being moved even when the alkaline dry battery receives vibration or shock. SOLUTION: The bottom-part separator 9 in this alkaline dry battery comprises: first bottom paper 10 having a first bottom part 10a and a first rising part 10b rising along the inside of the cylinder-part separator 4 in the periphery of the first bottom part; and second bottom paper having a second bottom part 11a and a second rising part 11b rising along the outside of the cylinder-part separator in the periphery of the second bottom part.
