PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode container for a sodium-sulfur battery enhancing electrical-energy efficiency wherein the internal resistance of the battery is small in an early stage of a charging and discharging cycle when the battery operation of charge/discharge is carried out after assembling the sodium-sulfur battery. SOLUTION: In this positive electrode container 1 for the sodium-sulfur battery wherein a spray coating film 2 for corrosion protection made of a Cr-Fe alloy is formed on an inner circumferential surface, the spray coating film 2 has a polished surface formed by grinding after being formed by plasma spraying in the atmosphere.
